[Canon point that you are updating to] Avengers movie, post-Shawarma scene
[Background]
After his mission in New Mexico was complete, Barton was given a short vacation and by short I mean not even a day before he was asked to follow the Teseract and Selvig and make sure things were going as planned at S.H.I.E.L.D's Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S. Things went pretty smoothly with Clint watching the goings-ons from his "nest" and making sure Selvig wasn't doing something to tamper with the Teseract. However, things took a turn for the worse when the cube started emitting gamma radiation and "acting up." Fury visited the facilities and Clint reported that Selvig wasn't behind it but that, maybe, something was tampering with the Cube on the other side.
Cue the entrance of Loki. Loki quickly took out several S.H.I.E.L.D agents and scientists and even managed to mind-wipe and control Clint, turning him against Fury and the rest of S.H.I.E.L.D. Clint's time under mind-control is fuzzy at best but he does remember some of the things he did, probably more so than he lets Natasha or others believe. Under Loki's command he led a small group (also including another possessed S.H.I.E.L.D agent and Dr. Selvig). The four raced out of the destroyed base leaving Fury for dead and off to build a BETTER portal using the Teseract.
Clint was sent on several missions to gather materials Selvig needed but also provided Loki with a list of enemies of S.H.I.E.L.D to join his group since he planned on attacking the organization to distract them/break them. Once Loki was captured on the helicarrier said group followed Clint into a fight to bust Loki out and disable the flying ship. In the chaos, Loki escaped but Clint was apprehended by his former partner Black Widow who took him down and restored him to his normal self.
After recovery (and what can best be described as a "detox") Clint vowed to go after Loki and take him down. He volunteered to fly Captain America into the field to find Loki and stop his forces from destroying the world. Eventually, they met up with the rest of the team and fought together, Clint coordinating the efforts of the others from a skyscraper until the last possible moment. Clint took down several aliens on his own with just his specialized arrows and even managed to get Loki with an explosive arrow (though it did not kill him). Finally the portal was closed and Clint gathered with the others to take Loki as prisoner. The group decided it was best to wind down at a local shawarma restaurant at Tony's suggestion. Clint, exhausted as he was, dozed for a minute and then found himself in Somarium again.
[Personality]
Clint hasn't changed too much. I would say the only major difference is his trauma from being mind-controlled by Loki. He was pretty shaken by the experience and while he quickly put it aside to deal with Loki and pay him back for it, that doesn't mean he's entirely over the experience. He'll probably be a little more withdrawn than before, preferring to keep to himself or those he has already made a connection with. Still, he's typically one to keep to himself anyway so only those who know him well are likely to notice MUCH of a difference.
Clint trusts Natasha and has a very close relationship with her, having worked with her for many years and even saved her from her previous life of crime. He's the one that recruited her to S.H.I.E.L.D. Their relationship seems to be one that doesn't require a lot of words and the two just KNOW each other so well in that regard. He's afraid of what Loki might have made him do to her but is determined not to let her know about it since he doesn't want it affecting their partnership.
Clint also "sees better from a distance" which means he likes to watch people and see the big picture. That doesn't mean he overlooks the small details, but just that he would rather distance himself from everyone and everything in order to get an unbiased opinion/assessment of the situation. This makes him a bit of a loner, but he clearly knows how to work with a team given that he can coordinate attacks and falls easily in with the Avengers despite having fought against them for the majority of the time they assembled.
[Abilities]
Same abilities as before.
[Other important stuff]
Clint will have his bow and quiver from the movie. The arrows are all spent but the bow itself has special properties such as a control that allows him to select the arrow-head he needs to attach and also press a button for explosions.
[Any questions?] Nada
